COMPANY
WTFIM Productions (a.k.a. Who The Fuck Is Mishka)** is a dynamic production company based in Toronto, Canada. My mission is to champion and collaborate with women in film, promoting diverse voices and stories. At WTFIM Productions, we are dedicated to producing projects that not only inspire but also highlight women from all backgrounds and ethnicities. Our goal is to provide a platform that is both inclusive and supportive, empowering women to explore and develop their creative visions in a safe and nurturing environment.
ABOUT ME
My name is Mishka, and I’m from Toronto. Growing up in a large family as one of six children, I always had to find ways to stand out, which led me to discover my passion for performance art. This journey inspired me to pursue acting school, and while earning my BA in Theatre at university, I took a directing and writing class that profoundly changed my perspective. The play I directed received a standing ovation, and in that moment, I realized I was meant to do more than just act. I wanted to create, build worlds, and tell stories with depth and humour.
In my twenties, I moved to NYC and LA, where I continued acting school and began my professional acting career. Winning an award and earning money for my craft was an incredible experience. Embracing the philosophy that we should face our fears, I tried stand-up comedy and busking—experiences that taught me resilience, even when they didn’t go as planned.
Despite this, I was still hesitant to direct a film. So, I wrote and produced several films to hone my skills. Five years ago, I became a mom to three boys, which has been a transformative experience. Motherhood has given me a new sense of confidence and the realization that I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to.
